Hello,

My name is Ms. Brennan and I am one of four First-Grade teacher at Knollwood Elementary School.  I am excited to begin this school year!  I am looking forward to meeting each of you at our Open House and building a strong community in our classroom. 

 

This year, we will be learning and applying word and comprehension strategies when we read.  We will be writing small moment stories (as well as non-fiction and poetry!).  In math we will be learning and creating new strategies to count, add, and subtract (and create patterns, explore shapes, and experiment with measurement).  But that's not all!  We will create maps, learn about American leaders, symbols, and holidays, and research plants.
